In last week’s post, I discussed the benefits of sharing product roadmap with your customers.
I also mentioned that we share our Product Roadmap with all of our customers. Wondering how you can do so too?
In this post, I will share 5 simple ways you can share your product roadmap with your customers – and start realizing the many benefits.
Let’s get started, shall we?
5 Simple Ways to Share Product Roadmap With Customers
Here are 5 simple ways Product Management teams can share the product roadmap proactively with customers:
- Online Roadmap:
This is the method we use at Accompa. We have a page on our website that is regularly updated and shows our product roadmap. It is accessible by anyone with an Accompa account. Our customers can also submit feature requests directly from that page, using a Feature Request Form generated by Accompa software. - Quarterly Surveys:
You can use an online survey tool (such as SurveyMonkey, etc) to share your roadmap once a quarter with customers and ask them to vote for it and suggest new ideas. - 1-on-1 Calls:
If you regularly do 1-on-1 calls with key customers, you can devote a part of the call to sharing your roadmap and soliciting their feedback. While this method is not very scalable, it is certainly doable for key customers. - Quarterly Customer Webinars:
Conduct quarterly “Product Roadmap” webinars (using tools such as GoToWebinar). During this webinar, you can present your roadmap to customers, and solicit their feedback through Q&A sessions. - In-Person Meetings:
If you visit key customers in-person, you can share your roadmap with them in person, and get their feedback. While this method is the least scalable, it may make sense if your product is an expensive enterprise software.
Now that you know 5 simple ways to share your product roadmap with customers, get started now. This will help you achieve the 4 benefits I listed in my previous post.
To your success…
